The written Occupational Risk Assessment Study is one of the most important tools for the effective management of Occupational Health and Safety. It constitutes an employer’s obligation under Law 3850/2010, article 43.

The above Law dictates general principles concerning occupational risk prevention and health and safety protection, the elimination of workplace accident risk factors  or diseases. It involves ensuring information, consultation, equal participation, training of the employees and their representatives, as well as rules for the implementation of these general principles.

Through a detailed recording of working conditions, the development of the Occupational Risk Assessment Study primarily aims at identifying the sources of the risks affecting the employees, the business facilities, equipment or operation. Risks are classified by degree of risk.

The timely, in-depth and comprehensive risk identification accomplishes risk prioritization  and evaluation of the existing Occupational Safety and Health Management System, while identifying conditions that may prove counterproductive  or dangerous.
